PT Training

Precision Teaching (PT) Training

I  (with colleagues) have conducted Precision Teaching training sessions at many locations across Europe. Additionally, we have trained teachers in North Wales at some SEN and mainstream schools.

Below is an example workshop programme and a list of various formal training sessions that we have run at conferences. We have no training sessions planned, but if anyone did show an interest we could possibly provide some

Example Workshop Description

This workshop will introduce the principles and procedures of Precision Teaching (PT), fluency-based instruction and the Standard Celeration Chart (SCC). The importance of using a clear data tracking system to ensure quality in the teaching process will be emphasised. Implications of focusing on fluency rather than accuracy only will be discussed with particular importance for educational outcomes.  The use of Precision Teaching and the SCC as a data collection and decision-making tool that can be introduced to any educational programme will be demonstrated and practiced.

Target Audience – general and special education teachers, teacher supervisors, school psychologists, school administrators, teacher education faculty, educational policy makers, and parents.
